The book comes with a great amount of example code

KnockoutJS Blueprints is an advanced-level book on the front-end library KnockoutJS (KO). It assumes some familiarity with the library but contains a detailed explanation of KO core concepts in the first chapter. The book focuses on Single Page Applications.

The chapters (five total) are presented as a series of projects that make use of different KO features and integrate it with other libraries. The first chapter deals with the main KO features and serves as a quick introduction. The second chapter describes advanced built-in features such as templates and components and also gives examples how to integrate KO with other libraries through custom binding handlers. The third chapter describes a project using DurandalJS, a framework based on KO that adds missing features, such as routing. The fourth chapter builds a PhoneGap application by combining KO with jQuery-Mobile. The fifth shows how to make a Single Page Application crawlable by search engine bots.

The book comes with a great amount of example code. The code is thoroughly documented and is written in the OOP style which can be either an advantage or disadvantage depending on the code style preferences of the reader. The code modules are defined using the AMD style with Require.js. Other alternatives, such as CommonJS and Browserify or Webpack are not mentioned although the example projects could be adopted to use CommonJS modules.

I recommend the book for front-end/full-stack developers who regularly use KnockoutJS in their work. The book is very practical and contains many useful examples of integrating KO with other front-end libraries in web applications.

I'm going through a difficult time with my partner at the moment. This book has given me insight and a path to follow to clear away my past issues while at the same time being able to cope with my partners infidelity. I'm still unsure where I want my relationship to go and I am giving myself the space to figure that out. In this month since I have found out about my partner, I haven't had the emotional trauma usually associated with these situations. Well organized textbook

This text is very well organized. Every chapter starts with an overview of the relevant physiological concepts. They present a Prototypical drug for each class and then compare/contrast the other drugs in that class against the prototype. The amount of information contained in the book is overwhelming (due to the nature of the subject), but the easy to understand layout and consistent use of tables and figures make it much easier to digest. The explanations of how the drugs work are clearly written. The only drawback is that it doesn't contain a glossary, so I need to keep a medical dictionary nearby while studying.

Great pharmacology text!

This book has been a great help as I didn't have separate pharm course in my AAS Nursing curriculum. We studied drugs by ourselves instead. The book gives you physiology of body system and pathophysiology of some diseases at the beginning of each chapter. Prototype drugs are described in detail, drugs closely related to prototype and drugs different from prototype are given later. The authors give you little MEMORY CHIPs for each prototype medication, which is great.

This book has many great features that make understanding the drugs much easier. I love the fact that there is always drugs that are selected as a prototype from each drug category and has a detailed discussion such as its Side effects, available forms, its action and such...i love the layout it is well organized easing the level of understanding

this is a great little bartender book

Yes, this is a great little bartender book. Actually more information than I expected, because it isn't just recipes for shopping for ingredients and mixing, it is recipes to make your own mixes if you want to, such as a recipe for bitters. If you really want to get into mix drinks, this will be a great help.
